Acupuncture is one of the oldest healing methods on the planet, and one of the most powerful. By inserting micro-thin needles into specific points on the body, we can correct imbalances and blockages in the circulation of Qi (the body’s vital life energy). The Qi energy system is the supreme regulator of all the activities of the body, including blood flow, brain and nervous system activity. Because Qi regulates not only our physical processes, but our mental and emotional processes as well, acupuncture can be a potent tool for harmonizing psychological and emotional imbalances as well as physical pain, disease and dysfunction.
Most people who experience acupuncture can start to feel the effects of the treatment immediately, and the effect is cumulative, bringing the body and energy system into greater and greater alignment with every treatment. One of the most profound and surprising effects of acupuncture is the feeling of profound well-being that most people experience with treatment.

Both Dr. Freesman and Katrina offer acupuncture at Haultain Health Centre. There are many different acupuncture techniques and they both have a unique approach to this ancient medicine.

[Dr. Freesman has taken advanced training in several different methods, including 8 Principle Acupuncture, 5 Element Acupuncture, Meridian Balancing methods, and many more. With his wide range of training and experience, Dr. Freesman has many different tools to draw on to ensure the best possible treatment approach to meet your needs.]

[Katrina also takes inspiration from a variety of different styles, including 8 Principle Acupuncture, Meridian Balancing, Applied Channel Theory, and 5 Element Acupuncture. She weaves these learnings together to intuitively create the most effective treatment for each individual. Katrina also studies Craniosacral Therapy and offers treatments that are a combination of these two healing modalities.]
