Acupuncture & Chinese Herbal Medicine
With nearly 15 years of experience teaching and practicing Chinese Medicine, Dr. Reuven Freesman has helped thousands of people heal from pain and stress-related conditions and many other illnesses.
Reuven came to Chinese Medicine searching for a holistic, natural and effective healing system that could work with people on all levels, whether they were suffering at the level of the mind, body, spirit or (very frequently) a combination of all of them. He quickly fell in love with this beautiful and ancient medical system and through continual learning and practice, has been able to integrate the core features of Chinese Medicine’s holistic approach with our modern understanding of health and illness, forming a synergistic approach perfect for the modern western patient in need of a complement or alternative to conventional medical treatment.
After completing the 5-year doctorate program and successfully challenging six registration exams, Reuven continued to deepen his knowledge. He completed an internship in China as well as going on to further post-graduate studies in 5 Element Acupuncture, Advanced Pulse Diagnosis, Meridian Balancing, pregnancy and pediatrics. Reuven’s goal is to provide a natural and effective approach to help regular people with any health concerns that they might have, to enable anyone to live their fullest potential.
Reuven has a special focus on the treatment of pain due to any cause, acute or chronic, and is sought after for his highly effective approach that can often greatly reduce or even eliminate pain from the very first treatment.
Stress, Tension, Anxiety, Depression and Related Illnesses
Reuven has a lot of experience with treating all manner of mental/emotional distress and is particularly gifted in helping people to come to understand the root causes of emotional suffering, as well as working with the energy system to help release the pent-up and stuck energies that give rise to these and other similar symptoms.
Having completed advanced training in the safe and effective use of Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine during pregnancy, Reuven has helped many women suffering from morning sickness, low back pain, labour preparation, and many other issues that can arise during pregnancy.
With two young children of his own, Reuven knows how important it is to have gentle and safe treatment strategies to help kids with such common complaints as fevers, colds and flus, ear
infections, constipation and bowel irregularities, often minimizing the need for medications or other more aggressive treatments. Reuven also has experience working with more serious pediatric conditions.
